This study aims at understanding the critical factors that affect the performance of Pakistan National Cricket Team for the time span (2015-2025). In all the three formats of the game – Test cricket, One Day International (ODI) cricket and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket, the team has shown a mixed pattern of performances, despite its world-class talent and cricketing legacy. The study will be on internal and external factors which are contributing to the team performance. The internal factors are the change in leadership, the selection practices, the makeup of the team, the fitness of the players, and management. Competition, scheduling and cricket dynamics are external factors. The research method used is quantitative, and the qualitative data includes the results of expert opinions and media analysis. The data collection is in a structured questionnaire, where primary data is collected from the players and the secondary data is collected from match statistics, ICC ranking and past performance trend. The study is designed to look for the relationship between management and performance on field, player development and fitness and governance structures. It is hoped that the findings will offer actionable suggestions and implications for enhancing team consistency, facilitating successful transfer of players from domestic to international levels, and boosting Pakistan's international competitiveness. The findings of this study help to improve the understanding of sports management and performance optimisation in international cricket.
