Abstract

This research intended to explore the joining of electricity use, trade openness, innovation, and gross domestic product along with the degradation of the environment by compassing the time spanning of annually data from 1975 and over to 2021 for the economy of Pakistan. This study designed modern methodology as dynamic ARDL simulations model to express the estimation of the deviations in the autonomous parameters and their influence on the dependent parameter. The approximate consequence announced that electricity use has adversely influenced carbon emission in immediate and overtime. On the other hand, Gross domestic product, trade openness and innovation have positively influenced the carbon emission for long- and short-term for Pakistan’s economy. The government of Pakistan should need to improve environmental preservation, foster the energy sector’s sustainable growth, and advance technical advancement in the country.
